Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania opened in Opole
On February 14, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Poland Eduardas Borisovas and the head of the Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Seinai, Genadijus Mackelis, opened the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Opole, in the center of the Opole Voivodeship.
Tomasz Bar, head of the IT company "Hexy Studio", will perform the duties of Honorary Consul in Opole. The opening was attended by the leaders of Opole Voivodeship, representatives of the authorities of Opole city and other districts and cities of Opole Voivodeship, and members of public organizations.
When opening the consulate, the ambassador mentioned that Opole Voivodeship is the most remote Polish Voivodeship from Lithuania, but has great potential. Scientific centers, information technology companies, and manufacturing industry businesses operate in Voivodeship. We are especially happy that to the position of the honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania was appointed Tomasz Bar, the founder and owner of the IT company. We hope that the honorary consul will encourage cooperation between Lithuania and Poland in the field of innovation, and will contribute to the spread of Lithuanian culture in the Opole region.
There are currently 9 honorary consulates of the Republic of Lithuania operating in Poland.
