Sports ministers in Warsaw discussed steps to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions

On February 23 in Warsaw, the Minister of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania,  Jurgita Šiugždinienė, met with the Minister of Sports and Tourism of Poland, . Kamil Bortniczuk, and the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine,  Vadym Guttsait, as well as other colleagues from Estonia, Latvia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The purpose of the meeting was to jointly consider how to ban the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the Paris Olympics and other international sports competitions. The delegations issued a joint statement on the issue at the Polish Olympic Center.
