Unity Day of the Balts

On the occasion of the Unity Day of the Balts on September 22 Lithuanian Cultural Center of the Lithuanian Embassy in Warsaw opened the exhibition "Travelling Letters”. Representatives of the embassies, cultural and artistic institutions, members of the Lithuanian community, the Lithuanian and Polish journalists and students welcomed charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Lithuania Audrius Žulys and Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Latvia Anda Abele.

Unity Day of the Balts celebration is an important day for Lithuania and Latvia, it shows the sense of unity of the two Baltic States.  Unity and cohesion is very important for our region in account of today’s geopolitical situation - said charge d'affaires Audrius Žulys.

 “We are the small nations, and inspired by the past, we need to stick together. Our unity - this is the best we have" - stressed the DHoM of the Embassy of Latvia.

"Travelling Letters" exhibits the works of 20 artists from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Finland and other European Union countries. Together with the Latvians Eve Krūmiņa, Rolands Krutov and Guntars Sietiņs Lithuanian artists Aurimas Gaižauskas, Sigitas Gužauskas, Saulius Jurašius, Robertas Jucaitis, Rimvydas Kepežinskas, Audrius Klimas, Elvyra Katalina Kriaučiūnaitė, Aušra Lisauskienė, Rūta Mickienė, Vilmas Narečionis, Donata Porvaneckaitė, Marijona Sinkevičienė present their works in Warsaw.
