Visiting Lithuanian schools in Puńsk and Suwałki were visited by the First Ladies of Lithuania and Poland

On 1 April, the Spouses of the Presidents of Lithuania and Poland, Mrs Diana Nausėdienė and Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda, visited the 11 March High School in Puńsk and the Lithuanian Primary School in Suwałki. Visitors were welcomed by the Mayor of Suwałki Czesław Renkiewicz, his deputy Roman Rynkowski and the school principal Jolanta Malinauskaitė-Vektorienė.
Addressing the guests, Ms Diana Nausėdienė said: ‘(...) Five years ago I was invited to participate in one of the most memorable events of my life - the opening of a Lithuanian school in Suwałki. It was not only an honourable duty for me, I admit, but also a huge responsibility, a constant interest in how you are doing, how you are growing and becoming stronger. (...) Take a look at our children, gathered to celebrate and congratulate the representatives of both countries from kindergartens and schools, at their smiles, at the freedom to enjoy life, at their wonderful humanistic double identity. Their unique identity in which not only two languages but also both countries - Poland and Lithuania - have expanded.’
